During 9th to 11th of January 2023, the HR Club of RIMS organized an event for all students of the 1 Semester in the area of Human Resources and involved six rounds. The sixth and final round was adjudged by Mr. C. V. Ramanan – CEO of Ladder Consulting Services, Dr. Swapna – Principal of RIMS, and Mr. Chetan Naidu-an alumni of RIMS and a corporate HR executive. The winners and runners were presented with silver medals.

MSRF, in association with the Rotaract Club of RIMS and Ramaiah Blood Bank organized a Blood Donation Camp on the 11th of January 2023. Principals, students, teaching and non-teaching staff of MSRF actively and enthusiastically participated in the drive and more than 100 units of blood were collected and handed over to Ramaiah Blood Bank for a needy cause.

On the 6th and 7th of January 2023, industry veterans Mr. Manohar Duvvuri and Mr. Gurmeet Singh conducted pre-placement training and a business communication workshop for the benefit of students. The students were able to pick up valuable tips from the experienced duo and are now better prepared to face the placement season with confidence.

During 21st to 23rd of December 2022, the Finance Club of RIMS conducted an event for the benefit of the I Semester students. Over three days, the students competed against each other to test their skills and knowledge in the area of Finance. On the final day, the overall Winner and Runner were selected and presented with Silver medals.

As a tribute to the legendary philanthropist and educationist Dr. M. S. Ramaiah on his 25th death anniversary, on the 19th of December 2022, RIMS organized a unique program wherein young children from the Swavalambhi Trust were invited to spend half a day with the Founder Trustees of MSRF and the teaching and non-teaching staff of RIMS. The Founder Trustees interacted with the children and presented them with gifts. The Principals and staff of all the educational institutions under the umbrella of MSRF participated in the event. Entertainment programs were organized for the benefit of the children and the program ended with a sumptuous lunch.

On the 17th of December, 2022 students of RIMS witnessed the Finals of the 3rd T20 World Cup Cricket for the Blind at the KSCA’s Chinnaswamy Stadium where hosts India defeated Bangladesh by 120 runs. This was India’s third successive win in the T20 World Cup Cricket for the blind.

Mr. Thomas John Rose is an eminent trainer and motivational speaker in the areas of Communication, Motivation, Time Management, Leadership and other allied areas. On the 13th and 21st of December 2022, Mr. Rose held motivation sessions for the 1 Semester students of RIMS. At the end of the sessions, the students were highly inspired by the motivational talks and group activities aimed at fostering a sense of oneness among the students.

During 12th-14th of December 2022, the Marketing Club of RIMS organized an event titled “Markclan”. Over three days, all the students of I Semester participated in the event and honed their marketing skills. The grand finale involved 21 teams vying to win the coveted silver medals for Overall Winner and Overall Runner categories. The teams were given a product and they had create an advertisement for the product and present it in front of a panel of judges. The judges for the finals were Mr. Sachin Patil, General Manager – Air Water India Pvt Ltd, Ms. Tenzin – an alumni of RIMS and a budding entrepreneur, and Mr. Balasubramaniam, an Industry veteran in the area of Finance and Materials Management.

In its endeavor to expose students to International speakers, RIMS organized a Guest Lecture by Mr. Andreas Schneider, the Head of Design Strategies at the Institute for Information Design in Japan. Mr. Schneider spoke on the topic “A peek into International best practices in Design strategies”. He also inaugurated the various functional Clubs of RIMS in the areas of Marketing, Finance, HR, etc. Dr. Swapna, Principal of RIMS graced the occasion along with faculty members.

On the 10th of December 2022, our students attended a Guest Lecture by Mr. Aurobindo Panda on Intellectual Property Rights where they learnt about the importance of Trade Marks, Copyrights, Patents and how to protect the Intellectual Property Rights of individuals and organizations.

Students of RIMS attended the prestigious Bangalore Design Festival on the 8th of December , 2023 and gained valuable insights in to the latest happenings in the fields of Art and design.

On the 3rd of December, 2022 the office bearers of the Rotaract Club of RIMS for the year 2022- 23 were installed. Members of the Rotary Club of RMV graced the occasion along with the faculty coordinator of the Rotaract Club of RIMS. Rotaractors from other Rotaract Club of Disctrict 3190 were also present.

The Freshers Day event for the PGDM batch of 2022-24 was organized at the Institution under the banner Ignite 2022. The event consisted of eight rounds split across six days in the month of November 2022. The event was organized by the student volunteers, faculty coordinators, and staff of RIMS with the support and guidance of the Principal of the Institution. The first three rounds were the preliminary rounds open to all the new students, followed by the fourth round to select the top 35, followed by the fifth round to select the top 20 and only the best 10 of them moved up the ladder to compete in final round held on 25th November 2022 at RIMS from 2.00 pm onwardsDr. Swapna, the Principal of Ramaiah Institute of Management Studies and Dr. Purushothama, the Principal of Ramaiah Institute of Business Studies graced the occasion. Ms Sree Lekhya was adjudged as the Best Fresher and Ms. Aparna was adjudged as the Best Fresher Runner. The winner and runner were felicitated by a cash prize, a trophy, a crown and sash. The semi finalists were felicitated with trophies and all the participants received the participation memento.

The senior students of RIMS were taken on an educational tour to Dubai during 14th to 17th of November, 2022. While at Dubai, the students visited the famous Dubai Expo where there were exposed to the economic and industrial achievements of various nations of the world. The students also soaked in the culture and architecture of Dubai by visiting prominent places such as the Burj Khalifa, Dubai Eye, Desert Safari, etc

The Board of Governors of RIMS, comprising of eminent academicians and industry practitioners met on 22-10-2022 and were briefed about the decisions taken during the meeting of the Academic Advisory Board. The Board of Governors unanimously approved all the decisions taken by the Academic Advisory Board.

The Valedictory function of the Student Induction Program was held on 14th of October, 2022. It was the culmination of a month long orientation for the students of the PGDM Batch of 2022-24. Dr. Swapna, the Principal of RIMS presided over the function and gave an overview of the Student Induction Program held over a month. The senior students of RIMS showcased their talent in singing and dancing thereby entertaining the audience. The new students received certificates of participation from the Principal and faculty members.

The Academic Advisory Board of RIMS met on the 20th of August, 2022 and the members of the Board were briefed on the academic activities of the previous academic year and the plans for the next academic year. The Board members gave a few valuable suggestions which were well accepted.

RIMS has entered into a MoU with KPMG to deliver certified courses in Business Analytics for its students. According to the MoU, KPMG will design and deliver the course for I and II Semester students of RIMS, apart from evaluating the students’ performance and issuing certificates. In addition, RIMS has also signed a MoU with Oracle Corporation to deliver certification courses in the area of Business Analytics. Further, RIMS has an agreement with International Institute of Technical Education (IITE) to deliver a certified course in German language for I and II Semester students of RIMS.
