The Student Induction Program for the PGDM batch of 2022-24 was held from 15th September to 14th October, 2022. The Chief Guests for the inaugural function held on Septermber 15th, 2022 were Mr. K. R. Sekar, Partner – Deitte Touche Tohmatsu India LLP and Mr. Pavan Kumar BVS, Chief Business Officer – iD Fresh Foods (India) Pvt Ltd. Dr. Swapna, Principal of RIMS graced the occasion. Both Mr. Sekar and Mr. Pavan Kumar enthralled the students with their inspiring speeches and offered valuable tips to the students to make the most of the two years that they will be spending at RIMS. The handbook of the two year Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) program was unveiled by Mr. Sekar, Mr. Pavan Kumar, and Dr. Swapna. After the inaugural function, Dr. Swapna welcomed the students and parents, introduced the faculty members to them, and took them through how RIMS is going to shape them into effective leaders over the next two years through innovative pedagogical practices.
The purpose of this program was to help the new students in adjusting to the new environment and equipping them with the necessary skills to succeed in their academic journey. The program included orienting the freshers to important topics such as meeting industry expectations, goal setting, leadership skills, attitude, team building, stress management, MOOCs, time management, bridge courses in Finance, Accounts and Statistics, Universal Human Values, SWOC Analysis, placements, skills, entrepreneurship, career planning, etc delivered by eminent academicians, trainers, and industry practitionys.
The Student Induction Program at RIMS was a great success. The program helped the new students in adjusting to the new environment and equipped them with essential academic and life skills. The program also helped in creating a sense of belonging among the students. The various events and activities were well-planned and executed, and the feedback from the students was overwhelmingly positive. The induction program is a testament to RIMSs commitment to providing the best possible learning experience to its students.
