Business Analytics Club activities were organized by Dr. Murali S with three rounds. The first round was crossword puzzle. The second was a quiz round which consisted of abbreviations of general short forms ofbusiness analytics. The final round consisted of questions on data interpretation. The winner was Mr. A. Sai Kumar Reddy and the runner was Ms. Deepika M.S.

“Yoga is an invaluable gift of ancient Indian tradition. It embodies unity of mind and body, thought and action, restraint and fulfilment, harmony between man and nature and a holistic approach to health and wellbeing” – Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi. To inculcate the spirit of practicing YOGA on a daily basis, MSRF takes pride in organizing International Yoga Day 2022. Sri. Prakash Yogi Guruji, Patanjali Yogashrama Trust, was invited to create awareness to students. He spoke about the significance of controlling mind and body through Yoga. All the students actively took part in the programand performed yoga enthusiastically.

The event was organized on 14th June 2022, by Dr. Dhanalakshmi.K, Faculty Cocoordinator of the Club. The main objective of this event was to introduce the Entrepreneurship Club to the students and to give insights to the students about the journey and key points of being an entrepreneur.

German language certification course was delivered to the PGDM students under two levels, Level -1 and Level – 2, by Ms. Rashmi Rao. Our students successfully completed the German language course under level – 1. Course completion certificate was distributed to the students by Principal and Faculty.

MSRF celebrated the World Environment Day on 3rd June, 2022 at Post Graduate Centre, Visvesvaraya TechnologicalUniversity, Muddenahalli. On the occasion of World Environment Day, MSRF was proud to renew its commitment in saving the environment by having a ‘Sapling Planting Drive’. The Chief Patrons, Dr. M R Pattabiram, Founder Trustee, MSRF andMrs. Anitha Pattabhiram, Founder Trustee, MSRF, planted a sapling. Principals, faculty,non-teaching staff and students of the Foundation participated in the plantation drive.

Ramaiah Institute of Management Studies celebrated the Annual Day “Sangama 2022” on 13th May 2022 to commemorate the milestones and achievements of Professors and Students. It marked the grand finale of an eventful year. A year that consisted of various activities in all areas of academics, club events and sports The Chief Guest for the program was Mr. Deepak Justin, an illustrious corporate trainer, motivational speaker, TEDx speaker and filmmaker. Mr. Deepak Justin was the first runner-up at the World Championship of Public Speaking 2018 held in Chicago. He is the winner of the “Excellence in Marketing” and “Spirit of Excellence” awards in Toastmasters. Recently he did a 100-speech marathon to raise funds for Navdeep who was fighting cancer. Currently, he is handling District 92 in Toastmasters Mr. Deepak addressed the gathering by sharing the importance of Communication. He stressed on the public speaking aspect. He shared his life experience of overcoming from a shy, silent person to the present, where he guides others in the facet of public speaking. He stressed the importance to know what to let go of and what to withhold to juggle between personal and professional life. Dr. Swapna M, Principal, RIMS, read the Annual Report 2021-22 of Ramaiah Institute of Management Studies. This was followed by a colorful cultural program, where the students showcased their skills in singing and dancing. After this, professors distributed the certificates and medals to the various winners of sports and cultural events.

Management Seminar 2022 – Invitation Ramaiah Institute of Management Studies organized a Management Seminar on the theme “Digital Transformation and its Impact on Businesses” on 7th May, 2022. The speakers for the seminar were Mr. K Seenivasan, AGM, India Nippon Electricals Limited, Mr. Sai Sridhar, Associate DirectorSales, Electrobit and Mr. Rajiv Prakash, Nextin Advisory, Board Director – Deshpande Startups.

To take a break from the routine, RIMS ATHLON 2021 – 22 was organized for all the budding management professionals of the Ramaiah Institute of Management Studies. A series of indoor and outdoor sports events were held as part of the Annual sports day. All the indoor games and sports activities were held on 11th, 12th and 13th of April 2022 at the RIMS campus. The indoor games organized were Sudoku, Chess, Carrom and Table Tennis. The outdoor sports like Athletics, Cricket, Shot Put, Shuttle Badminton, Throwball & Volleyball, were organized on 28th , 29th & 30th of April 2022.

MSRF celebrated birth centenary year of Late Dr. M S Ramaiah on 20th April, 2022 at MSRF Corporate Office, with the graceful presence of Dr. M R Pattabiram, Founder Trustee, MSRF. The Chief Guest was Brigadier Dipendra Rawat, Group Commander, NCC – North Purvanchal Area, Gorakhpur, and the Guest of Honour was Brigadier M B Shashidhar (Retd.), Director, Department of Sainik Welfare & Resettlement, Bangalore Dr. M R Pattabiram, Founder Trustee, MSRF, honored and felicitated the brave soldiers, Mr. Bettaswamy Naik, Mr. Venkatesh and Mr. Subbaiah, who have sacrificed a part of themselves to protect the honor and integrity of the Nation.

To prepare the students to face placement interviews, mock interviews were conducted for the benefit of students. Experts like Mr.Kamal Artwani, Associate Director HR, Rakuten India Enterprise Private Ltd., Mr.Giridhar Singh, Business Advisory Associate Manager, Accenture Solutions, CMA Sathya Pramod, CEO & Director and CMA Aparna Sambasivan, Director, Kayess Square, conducted mock interviews for the students.

M S Ramaiah Foundation celebrated International Women’s Day with the graceful presence of Dr. M R Pattabiram, Founder Trustee, MSRF and Mrs. Anitha Pattabhiram, Founder Trustee, MSRF. The Chief Guests were Dr. S Radha, Regional Director, IGNOU, Bangalore and Mrs. Hema Arvind, Chief – Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics, Ramaiah Memorial Hospital. The Principals, faculty, staff and students of RIMS, RILS and RIBS participated in the event.

NDLI Awareness Session’ for PGDM students was organized on 5th March, 2022 from 11.00 am to 12.00 noon. The resource person was Dr. Nagappa Bakkannanavar, Branch Head of Information Resource Centre, Tata Consultancy Services, Bangalore. Students were briefed about NDLI, login process and usage of e-resources for reference of books, case studies, video lectures and study materials

The present world was evolving through AR (Augmented Reality) and Virtual Reality (VR) and currently they are working on (XR) i.e., Extended reality and Digital Twin Experience.She outlined on the new internet rules are Connection, Commerce, Consent, Collaborations, Community, Copresence and now the trend is on Co-reality. She briefed on Metaverse elements, viz., Immersion, Communities, Persistence, Decentralisation, Virtual Economies and Interoperability. Metaverse is associated with multiple technologies, AI, cloud computing, SSI (Self Sovereign Identity) and DID (Decentralized Identifiers).She concluded stating the future of Metaverse in Spatial Community, Persistent Environment, Spatial Computing, Digital Identity and virtual Economy. The speaker of the day Prof. Charmaine Gangen was introduced by  Ms. Preethika, First year Student. Prof. Charmaine began with note on the introduction on the concept of Entrepreneurship and few terminologies which are significant in the process of preparing Lean Canvas. She briefed on the nine grid cells of Lean Canvas and elucidated on the difference between Lean Canvas and Business Model Canvas, significance on the usage of Lean Canvas Model in the preparation of Business Plan. She illustrated her own example on the usage of Lean Canvas.
