Annual Day – Sangama 2022

Ramaiah Institute of Management Studies celebrated the Annual Day “Sangama 2022” on 13th May 2022 to commemorate the milestones and achievements of Professors and Students. It marked the grand finale of an eventful year. A year that consisted of various activities in all areas of academics, club events and sports The Chief Guest for the program was Mr. Deepak Justin, an illustrious corporate trainer, motivational speaker, TEDx speaker and filmmaker. Mr. Deepak Justin was the first runner-up at the World Championship of Public Speaking 2018 held in Chicago. He is the winner of the “Excellence in Marketing” and “Spirit of Excellence” awards in Toastmasters. Recently he did a 100-speech marathon to raise funds for Navdeep who was fighting cancer. Currently, he is handling District 92 in Toastmasters Mr. Deepak addressed the gathering by sharing the importance of Communication. He stressed on the public speaking aspect. He shared his life experience of overcoming from a shy, silent person to the present, where he guides others in the facet of public speaking. He stressed the importance to know what to let go of and what to withhold to juggle between personal and professional life. This was followed by a colorful cultural program, where the students showcased their skills in singing and dancing. To take a break from the routine, RIMS ATHLON 2021 – 22 was organized for all the budding management professionals of the Ramaiah Institute of Management Studies. A series of indoor and outdoor sports events were held as part of the Annual sports day. All the indoor games and sports activities were held on 11th, 12th and 13th of April 2022 at the RIMS campus. The indoor games organized were Sudoku, Chess, Carrom and Table Tennis. The outdoor sports like Athletics, Cricket, Shot Put, Shuttle Badminton, Throwball & Volleyball, were organized on 28th , 29th & 30th of April 2022.

Morgan, Goldmansachs, Citibank are staggering the revenue  $ 2.5 million, $ 500 million, $ 8 trillion and $ 13 trillion, respectively and J. P. Morgan invested $ 500 million in virtual real estate in 2021. The present world was evolving through AR (Augmented Reality) and Virtual Reality (VR) and currently they are working on (XR) i.e., Extended reality and Digital Twin Experience.She outlined on the new internet rules are Connection, Commerce, Consent, Collaborations, Community, Copresence and now the trend is on Co-reality. She briefed on Metaverse elements, viz., Immersion, Communities, Persistence, Decentralisation, Virtual Economies and Interoperability. Metaverse is associated with multiple technologies, AI, cloud computing, SSI (Self Sovereign Identity) and DID (Decentralized Identifiers).She concluded stating the future of Metaverse in Spatial Community, Persistent Environment, Spatial Computing, Digital Identity and virtual Economy. She briefed on the nine grid cells of Lean Canvas and elucidated on the difference between Lean Canvas and Business Model Canvas, significance on the usage of Lean Canvas Model in the preparation of Business Plan. She illustrated her own example on the usage of Lean Canvas.
