    • 23 March 2019

The many scholarly pursuits have to be layered with few moments away from the academic drill. Cultural Week- Utsava at RIMS is one such layer, designed to engage students in activities that celebrates the many facets of their personality. This year, we held it between 18th to 23rd March, 2019. The first day was dedicated to the literary skilled intellects who competed in Poetry and Essay writing. The brush wielding artisans canvassed their creation on face and T-shirt under the events featuring -Face and T Shirt Painting competition.

Day 2, 19thMarch, ushered in the start of stage events. Lilting voice, carried on the high strings of music was performed by the solo singers. On 20th March, the Solo dancers set the stage ablaze with an oxymoronic combination of energy and grace. This was followed by the Group Song and Group Dance held on 22nd; a day after Holi. The energy of the festival of colours, seeped into the spirited, scintillating and synchronized performance by the competing teams. The best five teams from the stage events will soon have to convince the Judges of their mettle by performing on the RIMS Annual Day- Sangama, scheduled on March 30, 2019.

The culinary skills demonstrated by the students is evidence that the gift of cooking gets even the most diet conscious, thronging at the stalls for a bite of the scrumptious, delicious and mouth-watering dishes done without lighting the fire. The art is in assembling the infinite possibilities of ingredients into the most tasty, healthy and appealing treats. The Judges had a hard time on this one.
